Sometimes I get frustrated with the inaccessibility of art content. I hear of a good book on art theory or criticism and can't find much about it online. I'd either have to spend a fortune on a print book or make a special trip to my Alma mater where I can't take any books home, instead I can only review them on-site. So I was thrilled when I found that the Metropolitan Museum of Art has their library available online for free.
I found several great books in their catalog but today I just wanted to study drawings by great artists. I love creating charcoal portraits and seeing how these artists approach the medium and/or subject is inspiring. Below are some of my favorites from the below book, enjoy!
