It's one of those days when a theme just emerges. Today it's all about cardboard!

I taught puppetry where the children made a huge collaborative Chinese Dragon. The head was made out of cardboard boxes. Here's the example head on one of our little artists.

Stephen (my husband) told me about Caine's Arcade. Caine kept himself busy over the summer making an arcade out of empty boxes. His ingenuity sparked a movement that has kids everywhere making new things out of what was once trash.

An artist friend, Sarah, told me about one of her favorite books when she was a kid. A story where little Christina Katerina builds new buildings and imaginary lives out of one cardboard box.

Of course, there's all the times Andy and Spencer (my boys) went crazy building with cardboard...
