This week I checked out the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Fashion Department final exhibit at the Garfield Park Conservatory. I don't usually talk about specific exhibits here on Dartily but WHOA! This one was so fun!
I enjoy checking out the end of year exhibits by art students in the area. Their work is fresh and diverse it really boosts the inspiration for what's possible.
The garments were displayed amongst the plants. Some were on mannequins and some accessories were more discretely nestled within the plant beds.
The displays were imaginative and evoked a narrative. There were performance art events happening while we were there too!
So much to see: the construction, textures, environment. The whole thing got my brain tangled...in a good way :D
