Since I acquired all those awesome old books, I've decided to make it a goal to create some of their patterns.
I'll split my time between projects from the books that will help me gain new skills and art experiments that will push me conceptually in my work. An experience that I'm sure will result in some wonky projects and awkward growth stages...but in the end I believe will make me a better artist.
As mentioned here, I want to start creating my own yarn. I used my diy spindle to ply yarn and thread I already had to create this custom yarn.
I've never knitted socks before or used super tiny size 1 double pointed needles. The first project from the vintage books is this pattern for "plain socks for a go-go guy"
In case you'd like to give it a try here's the book and pattern.
