More artwork was completed recently as part of a 30 day challenge.
I use the sktchy app, on which artists share inspiration photos, then create artwork based on their and other peoples photos. It's a great community that provides lot of inspiration and feedback. I couldn't resist jumping in on their 30 challenge where the artists work with daily themes that sktchy provides.
The pieces in this post were made while I was out of town so they are small sketchbook drawings and the photography isn't best.
The theme for the piece above is activism. I felt overwhelmed by the theme since there are so many issues that need attention so this image seemed appropriate.
Being out of town, I had minimal supplies to "experiment" with. However, I did have some good ink markers and it's a medium I don't feel comfortable with so that was my effort on this day.
I didn't have any time to create a drawing, so I had to work on this after everyone went to bed including my husband. He's so wonderful! He slept with the light on so I could work on my art. This was challenging because it's a self portrait and those are always hard, and because I was tired by the end of the day. I ended up doing 3 versions and this quick simple sketch ended up being the best.
The theme for this piece above was frustration. I honestly don't find art making itself frustrating, however not having enough time to create the artwork OR getting set up then constantly interrupted is frustrating to me.
