Below are recent artworks created as part of a 30 challenge.

I use the sktchy app, on which artists share inspiration photos, then create artwork based on their and other peoples photos. It's a great community that provides lot of inspiration and feedback. I couldn't resist jumping in on their 30 challenge where the artists work with daily themes that sktchy provides.

The theme for the piece above was about how artists document their work for the internet. My pieces tend to be too large to scan, so I photograph my work. Unfortunately, this specific picture didn't turn out great, ha ha ha.

I was back in town and in my studio for the "articulation" prompt, where we explain in the description why we make our art. I don't love this piece but I just had to get on my chalkboard again and I wanted to force myself to explain my conceptual interest in the chalkboard as a drawing surface.

This was a small piece created while I was out of town. The inspiration was an artist on Sktchy who I haven't interacted with before. This was created outside on the deck where I was staying. I counted 3 alligators in the lake the deck over looked. They were very actively swimming around and it was quite unnerving.
