Holiday Knitting Progress
I hope everyone had an awesome holiday and are looking forward to a new year full of creativity and inspiration!
While the holidays are always busy, I was happy to squeeze in a bit of knitting progress.
First, I have a couple pieces on display in the upcoming exhibit at Morpho Gallery in Chicago. It’s a great space showing really interesting work so I’m honored to be included in the show!
Second, I finished some socks. I was sort of running low on yarn with this pair so I improvised a shortie sock pattern that I think turned out really cute! They have little triple rolled cuffs <3
I had another ball of sock yarn from the same company but in a different color. I don’t wear shortie socks often enough to need two pairs so I prepped for a pair of socks for my youngest. His feet are pretty big for his age but they’re smaller than mine so it should be a perfect amount of yarn for his socks.
His will be made from the green self striping yarn in the picture below. I prepped my next pair while I was at it. They will be blue/grey with bright pink stripes on the cuffs.
Finally, Over the break I had hoped to finish two small knit portraits, but only got 3/4 through the one below. Its all good though, the piece is working up fast and should be ready for blocking in no time.
Wishing you all Happy Art Time!
